Fitbit Users Report Devices Becoming Unusable Following Update

Share

Over 100 Fitbit users have reported that a software update released by the fitness-tracker company in December 2023 has rendered their devices unusable. The update was intended to introduce new features and fix bugs, but many users have taken to the Fitbit forum to list the issues it has caused. One of the main complaints is that the batteries drain quickly, making the devices useless. Users have expressed frustration with Fitbit’s lack of response to their concerns. Fitbit, which was acquired by Google in 2019, helped pioneer the fitness tracker market and has sold over 120 million units worldwide. However, the wearable tech market has faced challenges due to the increasing capabilities of smartphones. Google has not yet commented on the matter.
