Facebook and Instagram back online following outages

Meta has resolved a technical issue that caused Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram to go down. Users worldwide were unable to access the platforms for around two hours on Tuesday, experiencing error messages and feed refresh issues. Meta apologized for the disruption and quickly resolved the problem. The outages affected multiple countries, as Meta’s platforms are among the most popular globally. Threads, Meta’s Twitter rival, also reported outages, while WhatsApp remained unaffected. This incident follows a major outage in 2021, where Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram services were down for almost six hours.
