BBC Radio 1 announced Jamie Laing, star of Made in Chelsea, as North’s replacement on the drivetime show. North, who has been with Radio 1 for a decade, is a beloved presenter. In his statement, he thanked his colleagues at Radio 1, including Greg James, Scott Mills, Clara Amfo, and Hope. He also expressed gratitude to his listeners for their support. Laing will host the Going Home show with Hope from 15:30-18:00 on weekdays starting from March 4. He previously presented on the station during Mollie King’s maternity leave, describing the experience as a dream come true.
