Police in Sydney have expressed “grave concerns” over the disappearance of former Network 10 presenter, Jesse Baird, and his boyfriend, Luke Davies. The couple’s belongings were discovered in a bin in a Sydney suburb, leading police to suspect foul play. The authorities are seeking a man, reportedly a police officer who previously dated Baird, for questioning. However, the police have not confirmed the identity of this individual.

A search warrant was executed at a residence in Balmain, Sydney, where several items were seized. The New South Wales Police Force stated that they are investigating the possibility of a third person’s involvement in the case.

At Baird’s home in Paddington, blood and signs of a struggle were found. The couple’s belongings, including blood-stained clothes, a phone, and credit cards, were discovered in Cronulla, approximately 28km from Paddington.

CCTV footage shows what appears to be the couple entering Baird’s flatshare and a white van in the vicinity. Davies, a Qantas flight attendant, has not contacted his family or reported to work since Monday.

Detective Superintendent Jodi Radmore stated that all leads are being pursued and that evidence suggests an incident has occurred, causing concern for the couple’s safety. Witnesses reported a verbal argument but did not report it to the police until Monday.

The New South Wales Police are appealing for information. Baird was a presenter and red carpet reporter on Network 10’s morning show Studio 10 until it was cancelled in December. Qantas is providing support to Davies’ colleagues during this difficult time.
